Earn free PMP PDUs by reading these blogs (2024)

Can I earn PDUs from reading blogs?

Yes! Blogs and online magazines can provide free learning resources when fulfilling PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR).

Whether you’re looking for topics focused on Agile, Project Management, Leadership or Business Strategy, you’ll be able to find a blog to suit your needs. Any PDUs you earn will fall under the Education category.

  • Blogs
  • Articles

The requirements for earning these Education PDUs is exactly the same as others:

If your certification is… PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP
For 1 hour of this activity you can claim the following # of PDUs 1
Documentation needed Notes and dates related to your readings

Because most of the blog articles you’ll be reviewing are short, you’ll likely have to claim the minimum amount of PDU credits: 0.25 PDUs (or 15 minutes).

Please note that the categories have been updated based on the new guidelines from PMI:
Ways of Working (formerly Technical Project Management)
Power Skills (formerly Leadership)
Business Acumen (formerly Strategic and Business Management)
