I love creating free printable paper dolls activities. Out of most of the printables we make, I would say making our own paper dolls printables are by far my littles favorite. We’ve used this paper doll collection with our preschoolers and kindergarteners but they will work for kids of all ages. We bring them out when homeschooling but they will also work in a school setting such as a preschool classroom. 🙂 Free Paper Dolls for Kids As a little girl, I loved drawing dolls and their clothing on sheets of paper. Come to find out about a year ago, my little girls loving doing this too. Learn more and join our Printable Membership: I draw out the different dresses onto a sheet of paper and my LO has fun decorating them with colors, crayons and watercolor paints. This is great fine motor skills practice by the way. 🙂 They have hours of fun decorating their own little dresses on paper. One day I took it upon myself to put together a fun printable template that talks about the different clothing items. They can talk about colors, counting and what clothing items go on the paper doll for the current season. Brilliant! Printable Paper Doll Templates These free printables include a set of either 2 to 4 doll figures and a plethora of clothing items (for the season) to choose from. I will include a black and white version very soon to create fun paper crafts for coloring in and creating your own outfits. We are all for imaginative play so this is a for sure must have, right? These paper doll cut outs can become educational and used as coloring pages for talking about the different colors, textures, designs shapes. Children can get creative in coloring the hair, clothing pieces, skin tone and more. What a fun activity. How fun is that? Card stock is much thinker paper than standard printer paper and allows for the best results when cutting the pieces. Supplies: Cardstock Magnet dots (optional) Laminator with Pouches The magnet dots are optional but can totally be added to the back of the dolls for placing on your refrigerator or using on a cookie sheet for a sturdy magnetic surface. It is so much fun creating your very own doll with these free files using magnetic dots. There are no traditional tabs on these (unless you cut them out in this way ;)) Magnets work just fine in and of itself. You can even grab a bit of tissue paper and create a cute dress, tutu or party hats for an extra textured fashion item. This is a wonderful way to get creative and have a fun time with these fun paper doll activities. It is also great if you have a kinetic learner who loves to feel different textures and items. It’s fun when you create new little friends to go along with the paper dolls for a fun pretend play experience. We love setting up the appropriate clothing for the current season or holiday (such as Valentine’s Day..)
